2010 CHURCH ACTIVITIES CALENDAR:

Our Children's Ministry

The teaching staff in the Children’s Department is amazing!   
Each week classes from kindergarten through fourth grade gather in our large group room 
and enjoy the opening activities conducted by our Large Group Leaders.  
The children then go to their designated classrooms and are taught by our teachers 
and helpers, and then once again benefit from closing activities with our Large Group Leaders.

Our 3, 4 and 5 year old class does not attend the large group gatherings.  
Rather, they go directly to their classroom and are provided care and instruction specific 
to their age group for approximately 1-1/2 hours during adult church.

Children who are in grades 5 through 8 attend worship service with the adults and then proceed 
to their designated classroom and engage in classroom instruction and discussion 
suitable for their specific age group.

Teachers and assistants serve one month and are off three months, 
and teacher meetings are schedule as needed.

Effective September 2009 there will be an opening for a teacher in our 3, 4, and 5 year old class.  
This is a great opportunity to serve in the body of Christ and to have a positive and 
lasting influence on our young children.

Operation Paperback

Operation Paperback is looking for used paperback books. They collect gently 
used booksand send them to the American troops deployed overseas.

It Only Takes A Can Of Chicken!!!

Tree of Life Church collects canned chicken every month for PROJECT S.H.A.R.E.  
This is a local ministry who currently is feeding 1,000 families.  
Delivery of the cans will be made the first Monday of each month.  
TLC has committed to providing 60 cans of chicken (9.75 oz. size) on a monthly basis.  
Please participate in this worthy cause by donating a can(s) of chicken on a regular basis.  
There is a box provided for the canned chicken in the foyer of the church.

Tree Of Life Church 
Prison Ministry

We have faithful prison ministry volunteers at Tree of Life Church.  
Each week these volunteers visit inmates in our local prison as well as writing 
letters to those that have gone from our local prison to a state penitentiary.   
Both the visits and letters are a way of sharing the love of Jesus with the inmates 
in the hopes of helping them to change their lives in a positive way.  
We are always to remember those in prison, so please be praying regularly for 
the prisoners and our volunteers.  In addition, you can support our volunteers by 
donating yarn to this ministry.  
The yarn is given to the women inmates, who are taught how to make very creative items.  
There is a basket in the foyer of the church for your donations.

Freedom Night

EVERY WEDNESDAY NIGHT AT TREE OF LIFE CHURCH

The TLC Elders believe we need to offer a special evening on a weekly basis to teach and practice
principles for the Kingdom of God, and instruct us as to how to live your life in Christ. 
It will also teach you how to apply Kingdom truth to everyday life, and also experience the blessing 
of being be part of a healthy Christian community.
It is to this end that we will be launching a mid-week "FREEDOM NIGHT," 
We ask you to prayerfully consider supporting
such a gathering time of worship, teaching/training, and fellowship.
